Assignment in swaziland

2 Fridays ago as we gathered for training in one of my colleagues house, i came across a newspaper that had the following facts about Swaziland. about 40% of the population are infected with HIV/Aids and this has reduced the life expectancy to about 33yrs!
it is the only remaining absolute monarch in Africa where the king rules by decree...
and on it went to describe the realities in this nation.

in times of such dire need, Christ remains the answer, and the strategy is "Go and Make Disciples of all nations..."

during this long vacation, i have been tasked with an opportunity to work in this country for 2 months : August 1st-September 30th. i am leading a team of 11 (4 staff and 7 students) to work in the university of Swaziland. (Kwaluseni, Luyengo and Mbabane Campuses).
the team comprises of students from Kenyatta university, Moi, Maseno, University of Nairobi and St Paul university.
our focus is Evangelism, Leadership development and Discipleship training.

its such an awesome opportunity i can't wait for July 31st when we'll be flying out.
it reminds me of that prayer of Jabez..."will you bless me indeed and enlarge my territory..."

we are in the final weeks of preparation in which our focus is processing the travel documents and raising the required amounts. (Ksh150,000)
(the return ticket,Visa, insurances, accommodation, food, yellow fever injection, in country traveling, Students Camp and pocket money).

we'll appreciate your prayers that the word will proceed on with power among these campus students and that God will use them to impact their society. As Paul puts, " for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God to save those who believe...."
