promulgation Day in style

August 27 will go down in history as the day in which Kenya got a new Constitution. For us after a week long of activity on campus, the students suggested they would like to celebrate this day in my new house. i had been hosting 12 guys throughout the week since my new house is near the campus.  about 10 minutes drive. so on this day 26 of them visited, occupied every available space, i spread all mattresses on the floor and gladly everyone was comfortable. those who couldn't fit at the tableroom, were glad to eat from my bedroom.
chapatis are always a welcome delicacy

my plate runs over!

this reminded me of, 1 Jn 3:16,17,18...this is how we know what love is, Christ gave his life for us, we too then ought to give our lives for others... My brothers, our love should not be  a matter of words only but also of actions.
to say honestly, this was a prayer answered. i envisioned this and asked God for it. and God has answered. My house is one of my greatest ministry tools.

thank you again for your prayers and generous support which has helped me to move to a new house this August. in case you would like to give towards furnishing it, either in cash or in kind, let me know through my email ben2weru@gmail.com.
God bless you mightily.

Gospel through Music

call it what?
Fun, Fun, and more fun, is what we experienced on Thursday 26th of August. in partnership with Mavuno Downtown Church and Kijiji Records, we had a gig on campus! it usually happens once in a year! what a time it was to hear the Gospel from another category of influencers namely Gospel artists. Astar,....
Mikono juu!!!

WE thank God that through this Music other Freshmen got to hear about the love of Christ, his transformation of these artists through their testimonies.

WE too had a chance to enjoy ourselves. amazingly this went on till 1am! whooaaah!!! by then after much and so much more dancing, i couldn't wait for my colleague who was dropping us at home.

we are very thankful to the MDT who fully supported us in reaching the first years in this way. your investment will bear eternal rewards. God bless you all.

Monday 23rd of august Marked the first day on campus fro many in Kenyatta university where i am working. about 35 continuing students had volunteered to be on campus to show the way to the freshmen and grab as many opportunities to share the love of Christ with as many as possible. below are some photos.

Lewis a 3rd yr sharing the good news

i shared the good News with Nicholas who had brought his relative for registration

we had a help desk where we established contacts with many freshmen and their guardians. Here Ken Murage a 4th yr student is assisting one of the fresh ladies through our Campus Survival Manual which had among other things a page one the love of God and how to have Christ both as a resident and as the president. in total we exposed about 150 students to the love of God in one on one sharing this week and saw about 32 decide to welcome Christ into their hearts. we have began teaching them so as to be firmly founded in their faith and live meaningfully on campus.
